Be Greatful!

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays.  Spending time with my family, eating lots of yummy food, what could possibly be better?  :)  Here are a few things that I am thankful for!

1.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful that I have grown up with a knowledge of the Gospel.  I would be a completely different person if I wasn't a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

2.  My Family.  I have a big family!  I love them a lot, even though we don't always get along that well :)

We still don't have a picture with all of us :)
3. I am thankful that I have the opportunity to go to school at BYU-I.  It really has been a great blessing, even if I complain, A LOT!

4. I am thankful for my roommates!  They are awesome!
5. I am thankful for my friends who put up with me!
6.  I am thankful for the fact that I was able to grow up on a ranch.  It has helped me to decide what I want to do with my life.
7. I am thankful for all of my extended family!  There are A LOT OF THEM!!  and we are crazy, and loud, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
8.  I am thankful for all of the new people I have met at college!  Some of them have become really close friends!
9. I am thankful for WINTER!  I love the cold! :)
10.  I am thankful that I could come home for Thanksgiving and spend time with my family and friends!
I hope that you all have a wonderful day filled with family and loved ones!

I waste so much time!

Wow, it's been quite a while since I wrote on here, so here we go!  I get to go home for Thanksgiving in less than a week, then after that, I only have 20 more days until Christmas break!  Talk about excited!!  :)  Everything in Rexburg has been great!  It has been pretty cold but not much different than winter in Weiser.  I survived midterms, as a matter of fact, I actually did really well on them!  All of my scores were in the upper 80s so I was pretty excited about that!  I am registered for my classes for next semester... joy.
Ya, this is what I do during class when I am trying desperately not to fall asleep :)

All of my classes have been great, I am really excited to go home for Thanksgiving and I waste a lot of time.  Not much is new :)  Oh, I'm going to see Mocking Jay tomorrow night!  I'm pretty stinkin excited!!
I had a pretty life changing experience this last weekend, but that will have to wait for another time.  Right now, I have to go to class...  Have a great day!

The Truth...

So, When I was home a couple weekends ago, I told everyone how much I hated college.  Well, That isn't necessarily true.  I am sooo blessed to be at BYU-I right now, no matter how much I complain and cry and say I hate it, I truly know that it is where I need to be.  I have INCREDIBLE roommates who are crazy and soo much fun!  I actually have some pretty awesome classes, (I just hate having to do homework...)  There is a temple super close that I can go to whenever I want to, I can feel the spirit EVERY single day in my classes because the teachers teach with the spirit and we start each class with prayer.  I have the opportunity to meet new people EVERY SINGLE DAY.  I am truly Thankful and blessed to be here right now.  I know it's where I need to be, and when I need to be.  Yes, Sometimes trusting in the Lord's timing is hard and having faith that he knows all can feel excruciating, but, I know, without a doubt that he loves me and wants what's best for me, and he will guide me, as long as I am trying my hardest to follow him.

I am so blessed, and I know that I don't take the time to recognize that on a daily basis.  I get so caught up in all of the things that I have to do that I forget what truly matter in life.  Something that has been helping me to get through the REALLY hard days is to remind myself that, yes, I am sacrificing some of the things that I love to do (spending time with my family, helping with our cows) right now so that I can gain an education and eventually, do those things full time.  I am sooo thankful for EVERYTHING that I have, and I just wanted to share that!  <3
