Since I've lived in Utah...

So, I've done a lot of new thing since I've lived in Utah (several of them involving food...)  but it's been quite the adventure.

1. I've gone more than a month without seeing my parents or any of my other family except for Clay, Emily, Keith and Kassee.  It's been quite the change!!  I'm used to seeing most of my extended family on a fairly regular basis (At church on Sundays) so it has been really weird to go out and not see anyone that I know.  Also, I get REALLY homesick!  Ya, I'm not going to go into that much detail but I'm a big huge cry baby!

2. I've used an entire bottle of Hot Sauce!! (By myself!)  Haha, at home, we went through quite a bit but I thought it was just because my whole family was using it...  Nope, It was mostly me.  I REALLY like spicy foods so I put hot sauce on a lot of stuff!!

3.  I got a Pedicure!!!  I know I already wrote a blog post about that but I couldn't leave it out!  And I might add that It still looks amazing!!  I just can't get over how perfectly timed this picture is!

4.  I ate at Cafe Rio!  My family very rarely goes out to eat, probably because there aren't many good places to eat in Weiser and we don't like going out so Living in Provo has been quite the change!!  And I might add, The burrito I got was extremely delicious!!

5.  I ate Chic-Fil-A!  It was probably the best fried chicken other than the stuff my mom makes :)

6.  I went swim suit shopping, like in an actual store!  I have a love hate relationship with swim suits.  I would rather just order one off the internet and spare myself the pain of having to try one on in the store but Emily REALLY wanted me to, so I did...  Needless to say, I didn't end up buying one...  haha

7.  Emily Really wanted me to try Indian Food so when Clay was home for Father's Day, we got Curry.  It was okay but not really something that I would really want to get again.

8.  Emily did Henna tattoos on my feet.  Don't worry, they're temporary :)

9.  We got Krispy Kreme doughnuts!!  I've never actually had Krispy Kreme doughnuts before and they were delicious but honestly, I've never found a doughnut that I don't like!

Photo bomb!  Ya, we had NO Idea who this kid was, but it was pretty funny :)  I honestly had no clue he was there :)

10.  We got fish tacos at Rubio's! Yum!

I didn't know Emily was taking this picture :)
11.  We went to Coldstone and got super delicious ice cream!!!

12.  I've gone to Cost-co 3 times since I've been here.  I'd only been like two times in my entire life before moving here.

Anyways, I think those are most of the things I've done since being here.  Clay keeps telling Emily that she is taking away all of my firsts but I am totally okay with that ;)  I do miss things about home like having a car that I can drive to town if I need something and knowing people at church, but I am having a blast!!!

One Month Down, Two More To Go!

Today is the one month mark!!  I have officially been in Provo for 31 days.  It most definitely doesn't feel like it's been that long!  This is the longest I have ever been away from home in my entire life and It has definitely been a great experience for me!  I think the longest I have been away from home is a week and it was for Girls Camp, and even then, I was surrounded by friends.  I cannot believe I'm too old to go to Girls Camp!!  It's always been one of my favorite weeks of the summer!
The last day of Girls Camp (Last year)
Not knowing anyone here except for Emily has probably been the hardest thing about moving here.  I am used to being outside quite a bit so being inside all day is a little hard to get used to.  I have watched soooooo many TV shows and movies since I've been that I feel like I'm going to run out!  I've already watched 3 seasons of Switched at Birth, 2 seasons of Say Yes To The Dress, 1 1/2 seasons of Once Upon a Time, and a bunch of movies.  Not to mention, practically every episode of The Pioneer Woman that is available plus hours of other Food Network shows. Ya, my life is pretty darn exciting ;)  On Tuesday, I got to register for my classes for my FIRST SEMESTER at BYUI!!  That was pretty stinkin CRAZY!!  For some reason, I couldn't add classes so I called and they said I had to call the registration office which didn't open till 8:00 so I got up early for nothing.  So, at a little before 8, I called and they fixed it.  So I started adding my classes.  I have to have at least 14 credits to get one of my scholarships but one of the classes I was planning on taking was already full so I had to find another class. I had signed up for Precalculus and Chemistry and there was no way I was taking them at the same time, my first semester so when I tried to drop Prcalc, It said that Chemistry had a prerequisite that I had to do.  I took calculus from BSU last year but BYUI said that I still had to do Precalc to be able to take Chemistry.  So I called the registration office.  They said that they couldn't do anything so they transferred me to a different department but they said that they couldn't do anything and that I needed to talk to the registration office...  Oh my goodness!  I told them I had just talked to the registration office so they said I needed to call my Chemistry teacher and have them okay it...  On my schedule, where the teacher was supposed to be, there was no name.  So I ended up just called the person in charge of the whole chemistry department and he told me I needed to talk to the registration office...  Okay, after hearing that, I was a little ticked but I told him I had talked to them already so he looked up my transcript and said that my calculus credits should take care of Precalculus or something like that.  Well when I went back to my schedule, I just deleted Precalculus and Chemistry, then added Chemistry by itself and everything was fine...  That was a little stressful but holy moly am I glad It's done!!
Anyways, I am only going to be here for about two more months!!  I can't believe how fast this first month has gone!!

An explanation

When I was trying to think of what I should call this blog, the first thing that came to my mind was the song Days Go By, by Keith Urban.
I thought it was pretty appropriate because of the fact that life does go by so fast!  At the beginning of the school year last August, I felt like graduation would never come, but looking back now, it feels like it flew by.  I need to cherish every moment and make every day count because I will never be able to redo anything.  I've been feeling a little home sick the last few days because of the things that I am missing out on at home.  I have always been a part of everything on the ranch so it's really hard to miss things like bringing the cows to the summer pasture, and even moving pipe.  My dad told me I would miss it before I left and it's crazy, but I do.  These pictures are from last year :)

Don't get me wrong, I love living with Emily and Keith, I just miss being home and participating in all of the things there!

Whose Idea Was This Again?

So, Emily, Demri (Emily's brother's wife) and I went and got pedicures tonight.  It was definitely a new experience.  This is how much I liked it:
This awesome picture is courtesy of Emily Chandler :)
I'm just kidding Emily, I really did like it :)  It was just a little strange to have some GUY paint my toenails!!  Yep, a guy painted my toenails!  The three people doing our toes kept on pointing at our toes then talking in Chinese or whatever language it was.  Yes, I know my toes look disgusting!!  I am SUPER ticklish so when he was rubbing my feet with the pumice stone thing, I almost kicked him in the face!!  I kept on grimacing.  It was awkward to say the least!  I am having soo much fun though! I love spending the day with Keith.  On Friday night, Emily and I went to Cold Stone...  HOLY COW!!  It was delicious!!  Tomorrow night, We are going out to dinner with all of Emily's co-workers.  I'm pretty excited!  Sitting in the apartment all day gets pretty boring.  Well, I better get back to writing graduation Thank Yous.  I'm almost done!!  Good Night!
